DEAR COMRADES,
RE: UPDATES ON OUR ASSOCIATION (PEDPA) AS THE UNION BODY FOR E-HAILING DRIVERS COMMUNITY
With much regards we are writing at this time to express our profound commendation to all the drivers community. No doubt, the year 2020 has indeed been a historical one that can never be forgotten in the world history!
Despite all of that, we still tried the best we could in our various capacities to move the association forward. We say “Well-done”.
WHAT ARE THE AGENDAS OF PEDPA?
1• To foster UNITY among the E-hailing Drivers and lease partners through formidable structures and to protect the dignity of our labour.
2• To have Contractual obligations to control the price of our service that is being undervalued or mismanaged by the app companies
3•To ensure discipline among the members and to ensure high level of professionalism.
4• To gain recognitions from local government, State government, Federal government level and international bodies to the advantage of the association.
5•To raise funds by way of appeal or grant from both government and private organizations.
6• To establish a legal functional unit to fight and to protect the right of our members
7• To hold seminars, meeting forum and symposia aiming to educate our members and to create wide range of social media network to help project PEDPA in a good light before the general public
8•To have a registered association with corporate affairs commission (C.A.C) and to get affiliated with any of labour union either (NLC) or (TUC)
9• To have ride sharing application that will give us true sense of partnership and possibly welfare package for our members
10• To create formidable structures across 36 states of federation
SO FAR IN THE PAST 1 YEAR AND 7 MONTHS OF PEDPA’S CREATION, BELOW ARE WHAT WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ACCOMPLISHED
1• We were able to Register PEDPA with corporate affairs commission (C.A.C)✓
2• We were able to affiliate PEDPA with Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC)✓
3• We have developed standard ride sharing that gave us full sense of belonging (MYKAB)✓
4• We have gained some high level of government recognitions from local government level,state level, Federal government level and international bodies✓.
5• We have been able to establish a functional legal unit to fight and to protect the right of our members✓
6• We recently organized symposia with over 28 Media ? houses to established the fact about PEDPA functionality, which also projected us in a good light before the general public✓
OUT OF THESE AGENDAS, WE HAVE BEING ABLE TO ACTUALIZE OVER 50%
??But, there is still more to be done by all of us to get a desirable results.
Going forward, we shall be dropping the new face of our activities as a new year resolution.
To ? crown our collective effort, we need to draw a plan and follow the it keenly as well as working with the plans.
??PEDPA NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
1• WE NEED TO WORK WITH OUR ORGANOGRAM which indicates that our UNITY comes first before anything. As matter of fact, without our UNITY there is no way forward. Therefore our UNITY is not negotiable.
2• ASSOCIATION STRUCTURES: Is the wings that will make association to fly above the sky.
Association structures
is the ? that will make association to be strong enough to withstand any internal and external treat, so working on PEDPA structures should be our primary objective in the year 2021.
3• We need to hold another seminal with nothing less than 30 Media houses to inaugurate all our new established local government structures.
4• We need to established our car loan program with 100 to 200 candidate with equity of 10% to 30% of the car they want to acquire
5• To create a media crew that will handle all our social media network
We will stop at nothing to ensure that these 6 point agendas are properly treated and fully implemented.
To have gotten well over 5000 registered members through pedpa.org and a standard ride sharing application (mykab) as well as gaining government recognitions at state level, federal level and international level. These significant achievements has proven that we can actually achieve more if we all stick to the plans.
According to Walt Disney, All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them. More so, We have seen the significant changes and what we have being able achieved in past 1 year and 7 months through our undoubted efforts. We can bring all our dreams and hope into realisation with our pulsating desire to bring about desirable changes in the E-hailing business space.
WE SHOULD All REMEMBER* *that Good things come to people who wait, but better things come to those who go out and get them. We have done over 50% of our assignment to give desirable changes to E-hailing industry, the rest of the task is not as much as what we have done in the past, let’s collectively go out and get them accomplish.
As the President of PEDPA, I Comrade Idris Shonuga Oluwaseun, herein pronounced that our life will not be the same again financially and otherwise, if we work on these AGENDAS to accomplish the great goal together.
