PEDPA – DON’T GO FOR DRIVER’S BADGE AND VEHICLE TAG AS AN EHAILING DRIVER

DON’T GO FOR DRIVERS BADGE AND VEHICLE TAG AS AN E-HAILING DRIVER

PEDPA Excos attended regulative guidelines meeting at ministry of transportation 3 times and 1 at the state house Marina with Mr Governor and member of his cabinet at the ministry of transportation

It was clearly stated that it is app companies’ responsibility to acquire driver’s badge and vehicle tag for their drivers through the  operational license issued by ministry of transportation, but Uber/Bolt refuse to collect these certifications on behalf of drivers to avoid liability

We have written to the office of Mr governor and copy the office of honorable commissioner of transportation to that effect and we got acknowledgement receipt of our letter and it’s giving appropriate attention.

We are sending another letter of our displeasure to the ministry of transportation against the recent sales of driver’s badge and vehicle tag to e-hailling drivers, and for the government to stop these process with immediate effect,  because it is against all the four(4) meeting resolutions on the regulative guidelines held at the  ministry of transportation to streamline the E-hailing industry

We urge all our esteem members to remain calm  while we fight this irregularities to a reasonable end.

Thank you all
